As far as I know, logi is the only company with one on sale... We're not talking your run of the mill optical mouse here.... This thing is smokin-fast.

You sure you should be building a computer? no offense, but you really don't seem to know what you're talking about... and when you're talking about $1,500, seems kinda like its gonna become "learning the hard way" to me.

For instance, the new nForce 4 chipset (which is, I might add, very badass with all the SLI technology) Doesn't support ddr2 ram, and you clearly stated that is what you intend to buy. In addition, you seem to have forgotten about a processor, which is generaly considered substantialy important in the big scheme of making computers run

I want to make a high end gaming pc that will be top of the line for at least 5-6 years! HELPPP ME SUNEH AND SEAL! OK.. here's what I think. I did some reading. Here's something I found. Nforce4 chips support a particular (as well as normal) type of memory. OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 memory modules are designed for enhanced low latency operation by using state-of-the-art (U)ltra (L)ow (N)oise technology and are capable of reaching latencies of CL 2-3-2-6 at 400MHz or even lower depending on the specific motherboard! Please see our Motherboard Qualification Guide for specific information.I dunno. Sounds pretty cool to me! So use that kind instead. It's slightly cheaper than dual channel stuff anyway. The Athlon 64 3200+ (remember 939 pin 2000MHz FSB!) is good bang for buck. As for the the ATI card, that's gonna eat up about 1/3 of your budget... Maybe the model below. I have a 9600XT and it's just fine thx! I have found that stock cooling is just fine if you do not over clock. If you overclock look at spending around $100 for cooling at least. I don't know much about it 'cuz I don't overclock and I don't recommend it. Case. Who the hell cares. As long as the bits don't fall out. Thats just me. I spent $30 on a case for my server, and ya know what? It looks fine! I have an Audigy 2. 'Nuf said. A 19" LCD is gonna kill the bottom line. They ain't cheap. And here's another tip. DO NOT buy a cheap monitor. I think you should look at a higher quality 17" (that's big enough!) Hard drives need to be FAST! They are the weakest link! Buy 2 mid sized (120GB 7200 RPM 8MB X 2 = 240GB!) SATA drives and use a RAID 0 config. There ya go! Some words of wisdom. Peace.

Get a CRT, LCDs ghost, burn, and do all things silly for First Person Shooters.
CRTs can be run at higher refresh rates, CRTs don't suck, and LCDs get dirty as hell real fast and some of the shit DOES NOT come off.

If you do get LCD, make sure the refreshrate is at 12ms and not 16 or more. @ 12, you don't get that ghosting thing that SEAL mentioned. ALso, 17 is hella big comparable to a crt 19".
If you're willing, you might want to try the new PCI express by ATI X800. Make sure your motherboard supports it.
Also, for cooling, if you get a cpu strong enough you shouldn't really need to overclock, it only makes your AMD even more unstable. Maybe invest in a good quiet 350Watts TRUE powersupply (or more) and maybe a good Volcano heatsink and fan. Then put in about 3 or 4 extra case fans. You'll be just fine. Make sure they all blow out.
